Even the places we set aside still catch our litter.
It stays with me that even the most guarded landscapes — the National Parks we protect precisely to keep them clean — still hold our trash. The grid texture is pressed from a mesh produce bag, the kind limes come in, so the discarded thing becomes the surface you look through.
